Treatment options for bruxism
NTI night guard
While sleeping, you have no control over grinding or clenching. The NTI nightguard is a small, easy to wear customized appliance that keeps you back teeth from touching while you sleep. By not allowing your back teeth to touch, you are unable to grind or clench. If you are unable to grind or clench, then the muscles can relax decreasing headaches and muscle fatigue.
*This appliance is about 1 inch wide and snaps on to your lower front teeth (in some cases the upper teeth can be used)
Full Coverage night guard
A full coverage night guard reduces the intensity of involuntary contractions caused by bruxism and acts as a cushioned barrier between your teeth while you sleep. This type of night guard is used for heavy grinders that have ground down the teeth or have a history of breaking or cracking crowns or enamel. It is meant to protect your teeth and jaw joint from damage.
